Sophie Xiong

Sophie Xiong is a dynamic writer, comedian, host, event planner, and organizer currently based in Los Angeles, where she dreams beyond her day job. Through her experiences working in the fields of education, literature, marketing, politics, international relations, and foster care, she has connected with a diverse swath of people of different backgrounds and generations. Because of her eclectic experiences around the world, Sophie is not a stranger to grief.

Though she has dedicated two decades of free time to cultural exchange and community organizing, she has recently become fascinated with end-of-life customs. Sophie aspires to contribute to changing the American discourse surrounding death, guiding it away from a taboo topic.

In creating “Culminations,” she hopes that her creative expertise will lead to more people celebrating their lives with their loved ones before they pass on to the next adventure.
